New Projects
The garden and chicken run
The garden is already in progress and producing – the children love it as they see the results of their labour. The ‘Chicken Run’ has to wait until we have enough funds to complete the outer security wall.
Orphanage
A project of an ‘Orphanage’ for 50 abandoned children was launched late 2007. All plans were prepared professionally and approved by the local ‘Sabara’ council. Work started that same year by demolishing the old mission house and clearing the rubble. Towards mid-2008 we started with the lay-out and the foundations. Late last year all works had to stop as the exchange rate became unmanageable, prices shot sky high and our exchange rate from the U.K. hit an all time low for us. This forced us to freeze the project until funds improved and it was decided to start a ‘reserve’ fund before we return to the first phase of the construction of the orphanage. It was this choice or reduce the intake of children by at least 50- we work for children first not projects so the obvious decision was taken. We can always carry on with our project when we are in a better financial position.
Computer Studies
This is something we need desperately, again it is all funding. With Gods help and a few kind people that will come as well.
Music School
We have a fully qualified ‘Music Teacher’ who has offered his services free, however, we need funds for instruments.
